Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Keepsake, a service provided by Aletheias.ai Inc. ("Aletheias", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the veterinary clinic you represent.

Service Description

Keepsake is an AI-powered memorial paw print generation service. The service allows veterinary clinics to upload pet paw photographs, generate stylized line-art prints, and engrave them on a Keepsake-connected engraver. The service consists of the marketing site at keepsake.vet, the customer application at app.keepsake.vet, and the firmware running on Keepsake-connected engravers.

Eligibility

Keepsake is offered to licensed veterinary clinics and their authorized staff. By signing up, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, are authorized to act on behalf of your clinic, and that the information you provide is accurate.

Accounts & Security

Your clinic account may have one or more authorized users, each with their own login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials issued to your clinic and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@aletheias.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

Pricing & Billing

Keepsake is sold on a pay-as-you-go basis. Pricing is communicated to your clinic at the time of signup and is denominated in U.S. dollars. There are no required monthly fees or minimums; your card is charged only for prints your clinic creates. Billing is handled through a metered Stripe subscription: usage accrues during each billing period and is invoiced at the end of that period to the payment method on file.

We reserve the right to change pricing on a going-forward basis. We will provide at least 30 days' notice by email to the billing contact on your account before any price change takes effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

You are responsible for any taxes (other than taxes on Aletheias' net income) that apply to your use of the service. If your payment method fails, we may retry it, suspend the service until payment is restored, and ultimately terminate the account for non-payment.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Keepsake account at any time from the Account page in app.keepsake.vet. On cancellation we will cancel your Stripe subscription and bill any unpaid metered usage as a final invoice. Cancellation takes effect immediately; access to the application and connected engravers will end at that time.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. Charges for prints you have created are non-refundable. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time, partial billing periods, or cancellations made mid-period. If you believe you were billed in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge for a print that failed for reasons attributable to the service — contact us at hello@aletheias.ai within 30 days and we will review the charge in good faith.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Keepsake for anything other than its intended purpose of creating memorial paw prints for the pets of your clinic's clients.
  • Upload content that infringes a third party's intellectual-property or privacy rights, or that is unlawful, harmful, or deceptive.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or other proprietary components of the service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service to third parties not authorized by these Terms.
  • Interfere with the service's operation, probe its security, or attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to your clinic.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Intellectual Property

Generated paw prints are licensed to your clinic for use in providing memorial keepsakes to your clients; you may print, share, and distribute physical copies of those keepsakes to the families they were created for. The Keepsake software, firmware, AI models, brand, and underlying technology remain the property of Aletheias.ai Inc. and are licensed, not sold.

You retain ownership of the source photographs you upload. By uploading content to Keepsake, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate, maintain, support, and improve the service for your clinic. We do not use customer photographs to train AI models without your explicit, opt-in consent.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Keepsake is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will meet any particular aesthetic standard.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aletheias.ai Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, regardless of the theory of liability. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aletheias.ai Inc. and its affiliates from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, (b) content you upload to the service, or (c) your clinic's relationship with the pet owners to whom you provide keepsakes generated by the service.

Term & Termination

These Terms remain in effect while your account is active. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for material breach of these Terms or where required by law. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Pricing & Billing (for amounts owed), Refund Policy, Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will survive.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute that the parties cannot resolve informally will be the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits either party's right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify the billing contact on your account by email or by an in-product notice prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
